Sandra Kay Hurd

Sandra Kay Hurd, 55, of Ashburn passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022 at Tift Regional Hospital.

Sandra was born on January 2, 1967 in Riverside, California to the late William Sr. and Dorothy Smith Hurd. She was a caregiver and also operated the eBay Store in Ashburn. Sandra enjoyed traveling to the beach and the mountains. Sandra had a lifelong love of animals. She also enjoyed doing arts and crafts, putting together puzzles and cooking for her family. She was also an avid reader and loved anything Disney, especially the classics. 

Sandra is survived by her sister, Shirley Hurd Richards of Ashburn; nephews, Robert Hurd, Michael Hurd, William Hurd, III, Peter Vinson, Jonathan Paige and David Paige; cousins, Teresa Leigh Andrews and Andy Bryans. She is also survived by many lifelong friends that, despite distance and time, remained close in her heart.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Angela Diane Hurd; brother, William Hurd, Jr.; sister-in-law, Valerie Ann Hooper Vinson; aunt, Helen Smith Andrews; beloved cat, Sassy along with numerous other pets.

The family will greet friends Tuesday, November 29, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Perry Funeral Chapel. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
