Sara Adams Griffin

Sara Adams Griffin, 91, of Sycamore passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Tift Regional Hospital in Tifton.

Sara was born on November 7, 1931 in Ashburn to the late John W. and Rosa Lee White Adams. She was an Inspector at Walkers Pants Factory for many years. Sara was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she sang in the church choir. Sara loved to cook for family and friends and was famous for her chocolate pies. She was also known for her quick wit and her charming personality. She loved her Lord, her family and her church.

She is survived by her son, Carroll (Connie) Griffin of Tifton; daughter, Frankie Griffin of Sycamore; grandson, Chad (Lyndsae) Griffin; great-grandchildren, Cayden Griffin, Hadley Griffin and Whitley Griffin; sister-in-law, Millie Griffin Gilmore. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raleigh J. Griffin and her siblings, Garland Adams, White Adams, Julia Young, Elsie Ebert and Wynelle Goff.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, March 27, 2023 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends Monday, March 27, 2023 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 Am at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
