Steve House

Steve House, 76, of Ashburn passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at the Medical Center Central Georgia in Macon.

He was born on October 1, 1948, in Turner County to the late Junior Leroy and Lois Eunice Hampton House. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Mr. House was also a Volunteer Firefighter with the Turner County Fire Rescue for 49 years and served his country with honor in the United States Navy. Mr. House was a Mechanics teacher at Turner County High School for 26 years. After retiring, Mr. House would keep up with all his former students by making his rounds at their places of business. Most of the time it involved him having a cup of coffee with them. Mr. House could be found every morning at his favorite breakfast spot enjoying a few cups of coffee with his friends and talking to everyone that came in. Steve was simply "Mr. House".

He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to those around him.

He is survived by his sisters, Esther Faye Ruth Warren and Donna House Whitley. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Maudine Taylor.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Gail Taylor House; son, Shane House; siblings, Wylene Wynn Maddox, Robert Webb Warren, John Kenneth House and Patsy House Walters.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Bethel Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Bethel Baptist Church.
