Virginia Helen Freeman Alderman Hickox

Virginia Helen Freeman Alderman Hickox, 93, of Ashburn passed away Monday, March 10, 2025 at her residence.

Virginia was born in Miami, Florida on November 28, 1931 to the late Myrna Jewell Melton. She was a homemaker and a member of Dakota Baptist Church. Virginia was an artist and loved to paint. She also enjoyed crocheting. Virginia loved working in her yard and gardening. When she was able, Virginia enjoyed fishing but especially saltwater fishing. She loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her daughters, Donna (Wayne) Terrell of Ashburn and Carol Middlebrooks of Bonifay, Florida; son, Jack D. Alderman of Lake Hamilton, Florida; grandchildren, Jacqueline (Brian) Albano, Jennifer (Dustin) Tibbs, Jason (Crystal) Rusticus, Eric (Francine) Landry, Ryan Landry, Janet (Scott) Burns, Rebecca (Brandon) Thomason, Ann Moore, Cheryl Alderman (Bob) Carter, Jason (Tammy) Wartell, Kelly Alderman, Kristen (Danny) Povilaitis, Brian Middleton, Sandra Middleton Parker, Arthur Middleton, Jacob Middleton. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her children, George Alderman, Fuller O’Steen Alderman, Jr. and Jill Middleton; first husband and father of her children, Fuller O’Steen Alderman; grandchildren, Joey Landry and Daniel Moore; second husband, Farley Hickox.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
